The Tunnel (2014) — also known as Tunnel 3D — is a South Korean horror thriller directed by Park Gyu-taek. Starring Jeong Yu-mi, Yeon Woo-jin, Song Jae-rim, and Jeong Si-yeon, the film delivers a chilling story of guilt, fear, and supernatural revenge.
A group of young friends attends a private launch party at a new luxury resort. During the event, a strange man crashes the party and warns them about an old curse tied to the land. In a moment of panic and confusion, the friends accidentally kill him. Hoping to cover up their mistake, they decide to hide his body in an abandoned coal mine.

Inside the tunnel, however, they find something far worse than guilt. As they move deeper underground, the group is stalked by eerie apparitions and haunted by terrifying forces they cannot explain. With no way out, their fear grows — and so does the realization that the curse might be real.

The Tunnel stands out for its intense atmosphere and tight setting. The film uses confined spaces, dim lighting, and sound design to create an overwhelming sense of claustrophobia. It also weaves in supernatural horror and psychological tension, keeping viewers on edge throughout.

The film was released in South Korea on August 13, 2014. While it received mixed reviews — praised for its creepy visuals but criticized for a formulaic plot — it has since gained a cult following among fans of Korean horror.
